This vintage experienced a wet winter and sharply hotter summer, which led to lower yields but concentrated fruit, all of which is on show in this wine. The backbone of the richer cultivars, such as the Pinotage, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon, are offset by the spicy and aromatic Cabernet Franc and Grenache Noir, illustrating the mastery of the winemakers’ blending craft.
