The Range
The Classic Selection range of prime cultivar-specific wines comprises distinct, carefully blended wines from different parts of the renowned Paarl wine region. The style is marked by climatic and maritime influences of the nearby ocean and the Boland mountains that result in fresh, fruit-driven wines reflecting typical varietal character and flavour.
The Vineyards
The vineyards are a selection of Pinotage and Shiraz grapes where two main soil types dominate, namely granite and shale. The preferred vineyards produced grapes with fresh acidity, a soft structure and an abundance of fruit flavours at low sugar levels.
Winemaking
Grapes were harvest early in the morning and given minimal skin contact. After cold fermentation in stainless tanks the wine was kept on the lees for three months which added to the complexity and creaminess on the palate.
Wine and Food Pairings
A refreshing, crisp rosé which exudes flavours of raspberry, strawberries, and zesty lime on the nose with warm gentle hints of light spices, sweet redcurrants, and vanilla peach on the palate. The finish is raspingly dry and light with a creamy finish that belies its dryness. Best served chilled.
